5800-GO portable VOCs online analyzer
The Thermo Scientific 5800-GO portable VOCs online analyzer uses the mature and stable GC-FID technology to perform on-site qualitative and quantitative analysis of methane/non methane hydrocarbons, benzene derivatives, and other components in the sample, with a detection limit of up to ppb level. This instrument fully complies with national standards and methods for VOC analysis (such as HJ/T38, HJ732, HJ734, etc.), allowing customers to inspect, verify, and calibrate existing detection systems in various occasions. This system is suitable for on-site detection of ambient air and emissions from pollution sources.
For VOCs sample analysis in ambient air (normal pressure) or negative pressure environment, the sample gas enters the analyzer after passing through the built-in filter, and the analyzer's built-in sampling pump guides the sample into the quantitative loop for accurate quantification. Then, the preset program controls the switching of the injection valve, and the sample gas is carried into the dedicated chromatographic column by the carrier gas for separation. The separated components are sequentially detected by the detector. The built-in work software automatically completes data collection, analysis, processing, storage, and transmission.
The analysis system for gas emissions from pollution sources allows real-time analysis of gas inside pipelines without making any changes to the original system. The sample transfer heating and insulation tube selected by the system ensures that the sample will not condense during the sampling stage, while the portable gas cylinder companion provided by the instrument not only provides the necessary carrier gas (nitrogen), hydrogen, and zero air for the instrument, but also has a built-in standard gas for on-site calibration or inspection of the instrument.
Product features:
High quality portable steel cylinder gas
Compared to traditional fixed VOCs analyzers, the 5800-GO is more portable and flexible, and can be carried handheld to the testing site. In conjunction with the 5800-GO portable gas cylinder companion, all gases required for instrument operation can be provided: hydrogen, zero air, and nitrogen. The hardware such as high-pressure steel cylinders, high-performance stainless steel pressure reducing valves, and safety valves built into the system can provide safe and reliable external gas for the instrument, ensuring that the analysis results are completely consistent with the laboratory analysis results. When the gas cylinder is fully filled, H2 and N2 can support continuous operation of the instrument for more than 30 hours, while air can support up to 8 hours.
The above portable steel cylinder gas solution can effectively eliminate accuracy issues caused by impurities and fluctuations in homemade zero air and hydrogen gas on site. And users can focus on sample analysis without worrying about ineffective work caused by external gas source quality issues.

Detachable design, remote control instrument
The 5800-GO supports industrial WiFi, which enables remote connection between the analyzer and the controller. The control computer inside the device can be separated from the host, and users can place the instrument on site. The instrument can be controlled through WiFi for sampling, data storage, and analysis. After the analysis is completed, users can perform post-processing on the data through the computer.
Laboratory level precision and flexibility
The 5800-GO standard configuration is a gas chromatography combined with a hydrogen flame ionization detector (GC-FID), which has high detection accuracy and a wide linear detection range; The system design ensures the insulation of the entire sample path, avoiding the residue of high boiling point substances; The whole EPC system improves the accuracy of gas flow control, ensuring the repeatability and accuracy of data, and also ensuring the long-term stability of instrument operation. At the same time, the system is equipped with Thermo Fisher's Uniheat technology, which can make the instrument ready within 10 minutes and then directly analyze the sample, thereby improving the analysis efficiency of the entire system. The 5800-GO also features custom shortcut keys for quick sample analysis with just one click, further enhancing users' work efficiency at the testing site.
On the basis of standard non methane total hydrocarbon analysis, the instrument supports the analysis of various benzene based compounds, including benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene, etc. All analyses are based on national standard methods, and the results can be directly compared in parallel with laboratory analysis results.
Expandable sampling probe, supporting direct sampling at the outlet
The sampling probe of 5800-GO supports multiple configurations, and the probe is equipped with a quick press and instrument information display screen. The sampling pipeline is heated throughout the entire process to ensure that there is no condensation of the sample. The sampling tube adopts an inert pipeline inside, effectively preventing the adsorption and loss of samples on the pipeline.
